This interesting pond in Bedfordshire required a complete overhaul. It is a very shallow banana shaped pond that had been installed for many years however the liner had ripped and the feature was no longer able to hold water. Maltby Aquatics provided a pond refurbishment. The old liner and block-work was removed, a new premium underlay felt was used followed by sand to protect the new Greenseal pond liner. The pond liner was carefully molded on top of the sand with the majority of folds removed. The old blocks were cemented back in place to keep the liner held down. The bottom of the pond then got a fresh layer of round Scottish pebbles, completely aquatic safe and a great way to hide the pond liner. The existing water feature was re-commissioned with a new feature pump and a new pond filter was installed to ensure the pond remained clear throughout the year. We used Oase filtration and pumps on this job, Maltby Aquatics is a certified Oase Installer.

With this fully refurbished pond being water tight hopefully it wont be long until aquatic life returns.
