Alasdair was approachable, polite and knowledgeable about his trade. He made suggestions and always answered emails promptly. He worked hard cleaning out our exsiting pond, re-lining it and did some paving work. As this is a wildlife pond he was especially careful in preserving all the various insects and pond life. We are really pleased with the end result- its given our pond a new lease of life!

I was recommended Maltby Aquatics by a friend. On moving house we inherited a medium size pond which was in need of cleaning out. Alasdair came to see it and provided me with a very competitive quote and a date he could start the work. He cleared the pond totally, sorted out the plants, rescued four fish we didn’t know were there, put in a filter system and reconnected the existing waterfall and all is working well. Alasdair was prompt, efficient and very polite. I would recommend him and his company to anybody needing pond work carried out.

Thanks for looking after my marine tank, it’s a big thing leaving something worth so much with another person but with the fantastic service that was provided my tank was as good if not better than when I left it! Maltby Aquatics gave us excellent, competent advice, and prompt and efficient service. We cannot recommend Maltby Aquatics highly enough. Alasdair Maltby converted our pond from being full of pea-green soupy water into a pond of totally clear water (and without having to empty it!). What a pleasure it is now to be able to see our 20 odd fish and to be able to see their true colours and fine details. We even discovered we have two black fish that we had never seen before! Nothing was too much trouble for Alasdair. He is knowledgeable and most polite. He turned up when he said he would, made positive suggestions for the filtering and pump system and carried out the installation work most efficiently and on time. Nothing was too much trouble for him. After the installation, he followed up with a further visit to make sure we were satisfied with the result. This recommendation was written 6 weeks after the pond cleared and there is no sign of the pea-green soup returning.

I felt that I had to write and thank you for the work that you have undertaken on my poor beleaguered pond. In all the years that it has been in the garden, it has never looked so good and so healthy. The advice that you have given has been very insightful to me into what is and, arguably what is not, important to maintain a natural balance whilst at the same time creating the water feature I wanted for the garden. It has been a wonderful summer listening to the sound of running water and the fountain.
