The client had an existing small wildlife pond with a great abundance of newts and toads. The brief was to build a more formal pond with a paved edge (with planters to allow for easier access for wildlife) and a patio area to relax and enjoy the pond.

It was important to consider the different zones in this pond to suit the different species. No fish were to be added to the pond but a small internal filter was added to help mature the pond and help keep the pond clear. A small decorative water feature was added to oxygenate and to keep the ice covering in the winter.

Liner connectors were used to discretely run the cables through the liner out of site.
