This impressive pond and waterfall in Kinsbourne Green Harpenden Hertfordshire was in need of a complete refurbishment to bring it back to its former glory. The customer asked maltby aquatics to provide the complete package required to do just that.

This  large pond includes a large rockery area with an impressive waterfall with large boulders that the water falls over back into the main pond, the shape of the pond was not to be changed as this was intact from previous years when it was initially constructed.

The job list was as follows,

• Remove all Gravel and earth that was put into the pond to fill it in
• Remove old patio area around the edge of the pond
• Construct permanent ledges for natural zones to provide an aesthetically pleasing edge.
• Remove old pond liner
• Clean current underlay and add sand and lay new underlay
• Re-line the pond
• Install filtration for the pond and pump for waterfall
• Pond lights included to highlight the impressive waterfall
• Clean waterfall and check old structure for leaks
• Add a wide array of English marginal and aquatic plants to attract both terrestrial and aquatic animals.
