A small wildlife pond needed to be refurbished, a small custom made waterfall was also created to provide a nice water feature.
The existing pond was drained by hand with all aquatic animals stored including many tadpoles. The old liner was removed and a new EPDM Greenseal liner was installed, maltby aquatics liner of choice. The liner was also going to be the base of the waterfall. The waterfall would be a gentle trickle with a height of approximately one meter. The liner was shaped over a compact mound, rocks were placed to create channels and overhangs. Expanding waterfall foam was used to fill in gaps and to allow shape the direction of the water flow.
This expanding foam was trimmed down the following day. Edging stone was laid and a whole range of pebbles and boulders were put around the pond to complete the look. Marginal plants were added along with the pond life from the existing pond.
